I remember those socket sets, owned a couple back when I was young and broke(r). Had never heard of the store, made for an interesting read.
Remember R&S Straus, they use to give those sets away for free with a purchase

I was at my small town gun show today. Passed up on the guy selling the LED lights for $5 that you get free with purchase at HF but this accidentally tried to follow me home.

Ok I have several different sets of olds valve covers but none with the Oldsmobile script I even have 1 A-Body bbo and some strange ones with an indented line down the center never seen them before. When I go to Pennsylvania to get my car I'll look and see if there's some there
This thread spurs the strangest memories...we were talking about cheapie socket sets from retailers that don't exist anymore, then a shotgun pic gets posted and I flash to a memory of the Holiday gas stations where I grew up that sold rifles in their little store. Not behind a counter, just standing up in a rack in one of the aisles.
