Thanks. Not 100% done yet with the grip. Hands down the filthiest gun I've ever had apart. Probably hadn't been cleaned since before I was born and like was made before my parents were. They really don't make 'em like that anymore.

I have a Mossberg 500 that had a pistol grip on it. I took it off and put a collapsible stock on it. Still pretty short but I like to be able to shoulder a shotgun instead of hip shooting it all the time.

This has no practical purpose. I just kinda always wanted one. A couple happy surprises is that I've found that it flawlessly cycles Aguila Mini slugs...9 of them. Lots of shotguns have trouble with minis. It's also an early production variant that is capable of slam fire. This thing might be a lot of fun. Useless, but fun.

The Ithaca 37's have/had the slam fire. They are alot of fun!!

Homemade Shockwave

Progress on the wall continues. The first photo I posted above is about half the length. Then it jogs toward the driveway and goes another 60-70 feet to the south. They started the prep for the second half and ran out of gravel for the base. No work yesterday due to wind.
That same wind also removed about half the ridge cap from my roof and scattered it around my front courtyard. Roofers are coming out this morning to fix it.

The wind has been brutal for the last 2 days. It took everything on my deck, including the BBQ, and blew it in a pile in the NE corner. It's also tumbleweed season.

Woke up this morning, completely calm. I have a bunch of burning to do so hopefully it'll be calm tomorrow. Other plans for today.

Just discovered that one of my water heaters keeps tripping the breaker so electrician is coming out to take a look at that on Monday. I have 2 80 gallon heaters in series so I pretty much can't run out of hot water. It is the first one in line with the problem so I only discovered it when I was in the breaker panel for a different reason.

Tumbleweeds ????????

Those thing are actually real?????

I thought they were just on old TV westerns!!

All too real. They get cute names like Russian Thistle as long as they stay green and purple.

Apparently I had a bunch of seed imported when they brought in the fill for the driveway and the house excavated. I didn't get on it with the weed killer and it really got away from me. I'll be way more assertive/aggressive this spring.

The thing that sucks more than that is that the fill that was brought in for the septic drain field had goatheads in it. I tried to kill them with fire a few weeks ago. The seeds pop like popcorn when you get them hot enough. They are the absolute worst!
