Ok have not been on the forum for a long time, I decided to make some changes to the car this year and want to have some input on what the net result could be. Here is some history my car it is a 83 olds 386 sbc edlebrock top end kit for a 350 (heads cam intake) 1.5 roller rockers toped off with proform 950, 4000 stalh (foot brake at 2400) turbo 350 4:10 gear on slicks. aftermarket coil springs and control arms and anti roll bar car and driver 2900 best et 11.21 118. solid 11.30 car on most days.

Here is the changes I made freshend up the long block 5 years old (500 plus passes) New cam solid flat tappet from herbert 106 sep .520 ish lift ( Dont have my cam card in front of me) duration 260ish, elctric water pump, vaccumm pump, after burnner headers(my super comps were junk and new ones not in the bugget) qa1 font coil over conversion .

The cam will probably make the biggest difference.

What was your old cam specs?
Also, can you post a complete time slip with your old combo? It will help decipher whether your car was working to its full potential in the suspension category.

ok I made it home here are the new cam specs duration int 280 @.050 244 ex 288 @ .050 242 lift in 518 ex .536 time slip Info rt .0620 60' 1.53 330' 4.51 1/8 7.07 mph 95.15 1/4 11.23 mph 117.9 This was one of for runs ranging 11.21-11.23. best 60 has been 1.49 but average is 1.51

PM sent. You need this file that im looking at.

@ 1.53, your 60ft is much better than what is expected with a 118mph trap speed and ET.

My prediction is, you need to look at your fuel, or what is happening at the top end. With the old setup, you had the potential to run 11.04 @ 120mph, based on your 60ft.

The new cam will probably push you into basement 10's if you address the above issue.

Very fast car you've got there!
