So before I removed my 4 x 10 speakers out of my 86' Regal I looked under there and could see that they were blue and thought maybe someone replaced them with an aftermarket set but regardless I was putting in 6 x 9's and then I pull them to see they are Delco speakers but was sort of surprised where they were made even back then, well not really.

Not even the same as "made in China" by a long shot.

To quote Marty McFly: "All the best stuff is made in Japan".

I'd keep those, do they even make stuff in Japan anymore?

In the 80s allot of the better stereo equipment was made in Japan. Delco probably just outsourced the part and stuck their name on it. I do not think audio equipment was ever a Delco specialty.

I'll take something made in Japan over something made in China any day.
