Isn't HHO just a myth?

No, that's the female *rg*sm.

(Quote from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, for those who are wondering...)

never mind i looked it up. it's a bunch of crap. you're using electrolysis to create hydrogen and oxygen. that takes ALOT of energy. and how much can you actually produce per second?
what's really bad is that the people trying to get investors have all sorts of neat demonstration tricks, but they have zero hard science data to back anything up.
actually if you're running higher compression levels, e85 is a good choice. the reason flex fuel and regular cars have such lower MPG numbers is that they aren't truly designed to use e85. if the engine is built for it, e85 works much better. but watch out, it destroys many different rubber compounds, and some metal ones.

The biggest problem with E85 is the same as with any biofuel. It is not sustainable as it requires huge tracts of agricultural land to be converted from food to fuel. What is needed is a crop that can grow in poor soils and not take up valuable food source land. Ethanol blended fuels are driving up the price of food in the US as more and more corn is being used for ethanol production rather than as livestock feed, thus raising the value of corn and the price of animal husbandry.

it's called sawgrass.

sawgrass is basically a weed that grows anywhere and needs little care. it can easily be used in place of corn to make biofuel. actually just about any plant or part of a plant can be used to make ethanol. soybeans are a good one because you can use the oils to make diesel and the rest of the plant to make ethanol.
for the farmers: when you harvest corn or wheat, or cotton, you take the cob or whatever. what happens with the stalks?
