i would for for magnaflows, they're stainless and cheaper than flowmaster.they dont have the drone chambered mufflers have im gonna order a pair next month.

Out of the ones you listed I would go with thrush. If you just want a little more sound then I would do as your planning. Go cheap. Don't spend 80 bucks on a muffler that sounds good and performs better when the rest of your exhaust is a cork. I think you will be happy with the thrush muffler.

If you still have single exhaust & are on a tight budget, A single inlet, dual outlet muffler would be a good choice for increased flow & sound. This is what many exhaust shops add to late model vehicles to give dual exhaust sound while retaining the front crossover/cats.

Ok i think im gonna go with the thrush but im not sure welded or turbo.. does the turbo have the raspy ricer sound or a nice deep tone to it.. thanks everyone for the help... all this would be much easier if i were a millionaire and didnt care were my money went...lol

The raspy ricer sound comes mostly from the engine. 4cyl motors fire 4 times per revolution, a V-8 fires 8, which creates the different sound. Ricer mufflers that sound like fart cans are not turbo mufflers....but usually flow through can types. Turbo mufflers will give ya a nice mellow tone, without a lot of rumble or pop. They just arent my style...I prefer the deeper sound that you get from less restrictive glass packs.

So i went with the thrush turbos, i had planned on the thrush since that was the most recommended but i was going to go with the welded just from hearing the sound clips on their website. Well the parts store didnt have the welded in my size so i went with the turbo and i can say im not disapointed. It now has a nice mellow roar at idle, and a nice tone while driving without being loud and obnoxious.. could be just a little bit louder on accelleration but im happy. THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THE HELP, MY SON NOW LIKES THE SOUND OF HIS SMALL V8.

Give it some break in time. It will get a touch louder the older it gets. So it might land just where you want it.
