i would think it would be behind the sail panel.inside the car. that would have to be a pain to replace,do you also have lites on the inside of the car in the same area? if so remove that lite to get access to the exterior light.

no there isnt lights on the inside there 🙁 ... maybe ill wait till want to do the headliner to change it then...

then they got to be behind the inside sail panel. if that's the case dumb design, you think they would make them easier to replace, there might be but i my self couldn't tell yah

ooooooo a real life Americana!  They were a dealer-specific special edition IIRC (don't ask me which ones!).... So throw anything you know out the window. I really couldn't tell you for sure, but that thing has to pop off of there somehow. Worst case is it was tacked into the special 1/4 roof covering they used. Medium case but still a PITA you pull the inside sail panel and its attached to the body thru the vinyl with those dumbass slip nuts on the inside. Glad to see one of these still exists. Don't let anyone talk you into pulling the Americana stuff off!

If its like my regal their should be a little allen head bolt in the bottom of the chrome trim. Unless you are lucky it will not come out, if you pry it off you will break the light housing underneath ( ask me how I know). If you can get the bolt out there are two screws holding the light to the car remove to screws and replace the bulb.

thanks guys.. i don't plan on taking anything off the car that it had when it rolled off the dealer line. Ill have to take a look at it in the morning lol its like 1:40 in the morning and it's too dang cold out lol!! the car only has 108k on it with the factory 305 w/ac... and i think i got a really good deal on it too.. needs a little bit of suspension work a couple owners before me decided to lower it with a torch :x to the coil springs. my grandfather knows a guy that restores older buicks and i'm going with him to see what he can tell me about it.
