Guys, I got a new F-body radiator from my local auto parts store to go in my 78 Salon. Its the replacement one with plastic tanks. It has a nipple on the right tank for a heater hose. I want to connect one of my heater hoses to it but which one does the F-body not use for a small block Chevy - the water pump nipple or the intake nipple? I've got to plug one of them but unsure which one. :wtf:

You can run the return hose back to either the water pump or radiator. Just plug the one you're not using.

PM me with your snail mail address and I will send you a brand new F-body upper rad hose I bought by mistake. Not worth the postage to send back to RockAuto, but I would happily pay it forward if you can use it.

The water pump to heater stays the same, the one that returns from heater to intake will go from heater to radiator. If you look at my gallery I have a pic of my motor, leaves heater core and goes through heater control valve then goes to radiator or intake

That is really cool of you but I bought new ones already. I do very much appreciate the offer though.

I think this is backwards. Hot water normally flows from the intake, to the heater, then back to the water pump ( or the radiator). On mine, I can see the water flowing into the radiator from the heater (like when I'm filling the radiator), and it's a pretty good flow.

X2. If the replacement radiator came with the return nipple, you can either cap it and use the water pump nipple or you can use the radiator nipple if you don't have a nipple on the water pump. Doesn't matter which one you use.
