Energy Suspension's current wesite still says "selected black bushings have graphite" So if they got sued for false statements they either don't care or have changed the bushings.

I had to take a good look at their site to find that...

" What is the difference between the
Energy Suspension ® red and black polyurethane components?
Answer: Both are our Energy's HYPER-FLEX™ performance polyurethane formulations. Energy has impregnated selected black polyurethane components with graphite–to add a lubrication property. "

What I couldn't find is what "selected" bushings that are offering. I emailed them and asked. And they did get busted years ago for claiming black bushings are black due to graphite....

I'm no chemist, but I believe graphite or carbon is often added to rubber or plastic like materials to make them black.I suppose if you put in enough graphite is adds lubrication.

it would add lubrication but I wonder after the friction surface dries up does the graphite bleed through to the surface.... and then how much graphite is needed to add lubrication. I still havn't received a repy to my email to Energy...

SV6 ,....thanks for those links. It's nice to see what's been tried and what to expect. I planned on cutting my Eibachs and wondered how it would affect the car...I'm not quite sure how the rear springs are cut tho since they have pigtails on both ends
