Fail - Why C clip eliminators are a good idea

Happened to me twice. Axl didn't come all of the way outa the tube the first time. Second time it shot out hitting the concrete barrier and came back and hit drivers door. Fun times.

that's not a problem with the C clip, that's the axle breaking.

The C clips are not stressed by launching a car, they are under pressure when the car is cornering.

Thats why drag cars run C-Clip Eliminators?

They run the eliminators so if an axle breaks the eliminator will hold the axle in place. It has nothing to do with the C clips failing. Like it was mentioned above to keep the axle in place you can use a disk brake set up which is a great idea especially if you have a street/strip car cause the c clip eliminators are weak for cornering.

IMG_3296.jpg IMG_3301.JPG Just added strange eliminators to one of my GN's. Well worth the price I payed a little over 200$ more for the pro axle/ a1100 eliminators than just getting updated forged replacent axles. It's a no brainer if you can do the work. It's a bit of a pain but not bad at all , as long as you have sharp drill bits.
