Scott passed away in 2004, but by then, WNEW was history. No, I used to listed to him live in the 80's. Interesting article on him in Wikipedia.
Thank you for enlightening me. I had no idea. I will check out the Wikipedia article. I'm sure listening to the old vintage radio programs brings you back in time.

Like another mentioned "Hellen Keller" may have something to do with my playlist.

Few don'ts
- no opera
- Floyd ( too depressing )
- G&R ( axles voice makes me want to bad things to myself and others )
- no new country
- nothing top 40 pop in the last 15 years or so that I can recall

Top artists in order
Mr John Cash and anyone he would record with
Everything Jack White has done ( tix to see him in June with my son )
SRV
Anything Jimmy Page would like
Guilty Pleasure would be old Kid Rock and some Prince tunes LOL
Current Flac Thumb Drive has new Queens of the Stone Age, JC American Recordings and JW Lazoretto

I listen to rock most of the time, but I like also like old school rap, old country and Motown. Top ten artists-

1. Tom Petty
2. Bob Dylan
3. AC/DC
4. The Band
5. Poison
6. The Cranberries
7. NWA
8. The Highwaymen
9. Metallica
10. Guns N Roses
Bonus: The Temptations

Top Dislikes-

1. Pink Floyd (too druggy, not loud enough)
2. New Rap
3. New Country
4. Hip Hop
5. The Beatles (overplayed)
6. Rush (trees talking to each other wtf?)

I like everything from 20's Swing to the latest Brooklyn Indie. I only like old school 50's/60's Country, and I hate 40's Big Band as well as Sinatra. When I go through an MRI I always ask for Death Metal just to see what the technician can come up with. Boys, I met Scottso in 1980 when WNEW sponsored the Cerebral Palsy Bike-a-Thon in Central Park. He was looking for a Bloody Mary at 7 AM so you can guess the rest.

You obviously have built up a high tolerance level.

It's taken my entire life to build up to that level.

I find it particularly offensive that they play that garbage in public. Pretending that it's ok to be a drunken abusive hillbilly and tear up people's property as long as you go to church on Sunday.
