February's theme is... "Sleepers"

What's that mean? I'm gonna be pretty open on this one, but here it means cars that don't look like what's underneath or what it can do. So no MCSS, GNs, HOs, 442s, etc., obvious looking stuff, out-and-out track cars, etc. I'm talking ordinary trim levels/models that look like an old lady drives them to church on sunday, more or less. You guys know what it means.

Winner gets one T-shirt made of their photo sent on the house (see last months for example.... shipped it to Canada so no "action" shots yet as it still hasn't made it there(!)) and it'll be up in the shop for anyone who wants one.

and GO!

Hard to make a Pontiac look like a sleeper. Loaded with a 400.

what's the significance of the third brake light delete?

In the 80's, that is how you can tell the difference between a Hot air (15 second car) and an intercooled car (who knows how fast).

3rd brake lights were government mandated in '86. Some '85's got them but all '86/87's had them.

I took it off my 88 cutlass when I tinted the windows and forgot about it,does it matter most people wouldn't realize its missing, see it one car and not the next
I installed a third brake light for safety reasons in my 83' Monte just to give the idiots behind me one more thing to notice when I stop hoping they don't rearend me because they are playing on their phone or distracted, I would reinstall yours since they were mandatory for your year.

The best sleepers are 4 doors, because nobody believes anybody would bother with one. Think sloppymechanics Fairmont.

Coupes with wheels, or even wagons these days are always suspect.

I'm always somewhat irked when I see a coupe with dog dish caps and giant rear tires called a sleeper.

But when you roll up on a Fairmont making Cammed Turbo LS noises nobody is going to race it, unless they are deaf.

True, but I meant more from a visual standpoint. Most "sleepers" are given away by our seeming need for loud exhaust. Personally, I'd like to see somebody develop a dead quiet fast car, but see above. Look at how many threads there are about exhaust note on any forum.
