I haven't used the Evapo-Rust gel either, but the liquid is great.

This stuff looks like it had a bukaki session all over my car. Scraped/brushed what I could off and sprayed the rest. Even in areas where it had specs of rust. Even got the ild paint brush out and lathered it up real nice. Then for a rinse i used a nice little sprinkler and let it sit under my car to rinse it all off

G bodies will never have value, not with 300+ hp V6's and boosted 4 cylinders. G bodies are neat cars, nothing will ever be built the same way. Some things good, some can stay gone. I bought my 88 to have GM'S last full frame, rear wheel drive 2 door car with an Olds V8. Ignore the shitty wiring and rust into the ground nature, otherwise they were great cars for their time.

I will continue to drive this car as is. Just try to make it better/live longer. Maybe in the future I can find a "perfect" frame/body roller and rust proof everything. Then put my drivetrain in. Next one won't have ttops or vinyl.

This car has a built 403, 2004r, 8.5 posi rear out of a 442. Not sure if the ratio is 3.42 or 3.73. Stays around 2400 rpm at 70mph. Previous owner estimates 400+ hp and around 475 tq. Never dynoed.

That is a nice drivetrain, that carb is killing it, stupid Edelbrock. I agree on the vinyl roof, corrosion for nothing. The T tops are something that will never happen on cars again. They have their pluses but issues as well.

I should just buy a carb and work a few more hours to make up for it.
