We finally got around to swapping out the rear end in my Cutlass yesterday.
Out with the 2.29:1 peg leg 7.5,
and in with the 3.08:1 Posi 7.5 rear end.
Haven't really played with it yet.
Will take it out today and see how it feels.

Hey Furtrader, am sure you will like that upgrade! What would be great is if you had a before and after 1/4 mile et & mph. But I bet the difference will be significant enough to feel it on ye ole butt dyno. Hey did you get those 15" Olds ralleys that I sold you painted and mounted? And do you still have the 14s up front? Some pics would be cool.

I did something today I've never done before with my Cutlass.
I inadvertantly squealed the tires taking off from a stop sign!
The car, while still stock, seems to jump now when you goose it.
Previously, you'd step on it, and it would just poke along.
As for the wheels, I have 14x6 chrome rallyes up front with 15x7 chrome rallyes in back, with the black (14s) and gold (15s) paint stripped off for an all chrome look.I like rwl, but everybody has them, so I went with blackwall tires all around.
I've been wanting to take some new pics.I will soon.

Thats right you bought me 442 ralleys.

where did you get your rear from? Another car? Haven't heard a whole lot about that gear ratio but sounds more up my alley for what I may want
