Good morning. I have recently received an 86 Cutlass supreme completely stock. This was my father in laws car and always well cared for. When he passed I purchased from the estate to keep it in the family. We have tried to figure out when it was last run. We guess between 4 and 6 years. Very low mileage car with 28000 original. He was always meticulous with maintenance. I have reached the point of starting it. I did the following: changed oil and filter which was as clean as the new I put in, was stored without battery hooked up so I purchased new battery, topped off coolant which looked very clear, pulled plugs which were in fine condition. All 8 looked clean and nearly new but all were replaced with same AC delco plugs, shot of oil down all cylinders. Let it sit 48 hours and engine turned by hand. Inspected all wires and hoses. There was little to no fuel in tank. Filled with 5 gallons of premium. New wheels and tires just because I found a nice set of used wheels . New front brakes. Checked everything for leaks. Anything else I should check? Theres no evidence of rodents. There is a lousy aftermarket alarm on it which took me forever to get disabled but that's figured out. Again this was a garage kept car. I'd say a Sunday driver but I dont think he even used it that much based on mileage. This isnt a barn find that was just left. Unfortunately he fell I'll and this was reason it was in garage. I had to let it sit there until I could buy it from the estate which took 2 years as it was in probate. He owned it since new and never had a worry starting it after it sat. I do. I know this is lengthy but to say I'm nervous about starting it is an understatement. I appreciate any feedback and thank you
