I have some Dodge rims for sale and I though they would have been gone by now. I got a reply from someone yesterday and maybe I expect too much from people but with google search available how do these people manage to stay so uninformed...

I sent him a link it took me 2 minutes to find on google and if he wants the rims it'll be an extra $20 for me having to educate him....if he comes back under a different name wanting to buy the rims it'll be an extra $40....

Sounds similar to a car I was trying to sell recently for someone.

Brief version-

Post ad on Craigslist and FB marketplace
-96 Crown Vic, runs good, needs brake lines. Will need to be trailered, brakes are not functional, rear line is rusted, needs to be replaced. can not be driven. 130k miles. $600

Time waster #1-Does it run? Whats all wrong with it?

Time waster #2- I will come to you and buy it tonight for $275, I am going to drive it home

Time waster #3- What is the lowest you will take

Time waster #4- Will you accept payments? I am sick and need a reliable car to go to the hospital

Time waster #5- Will it make it a 3 hr drive home?

Actual buyer #18- Comes, offers $500 but requests it to be trailered to a shop in town. Pay $50 of $500 to tow it to town and get $450.

What a strange world we live in. It's hard to sell cheap stuff!

it's awful out there,i hate selling stuff for the same reason.i listed a spray gun for sale on one of the apps.someone asked what it was.i replied it's a spray gun for refinishing cars.he offered me $1.99 for it.people are awful.

The bolt-on wire wheels that came with my Cutlass when I bought it? I sold them through a craigslist ad that I posted once in late-winter (for 3 or 4 weeks) and then again mid-summer. I had to revise the ad to address the following:
- (sight unseen) "I'll give you (less than half listed price) today"
- would I take an amplifier in trade?
- do I take checks?

When I finally got a Buyer he didn't even ask to barter, I gave him back some money as I was happy to get rid of them and he'd made the sale so easy.
