Another topic I could not find. Anyone who has any gbody 78-88 with a factory floor shifter I need your help. As you may already know my Regal was a base bare bones. One of the previous owners put in a gn interior seats and center floor shifter console. I just recently found out there is suppose to be a bulb inside the indicator. Opening it up there was no wire bulb or bulb socket. I figure with some extra wire I can splice in one using the original ash tray light. But What I need to know is does anyone have a picture of this thing? a gm part number perhaps? I took one from a Camaro but it doesn't fit in the shift indicator box. The socket for the cigarette ash try fits but doesn't hold into place. All and any help with do thank you. 😀

I don't know a part # or pic, but it is a little piece of plastic that turns to lock into the shifter cover. I know it is a 194 bulb. Also it is a two wire connector. One wire is a ground and other is from instrument lights. So the ashtray lights should work fine with a ground.

Thank You for the help on this, you really painted a picture. I picked one off a camaro, it fits the same socket. Now that I know what it looks like I keep finding em at the yards.
