I lost my 2004r this past week I think i”ll go with th 400. My question is about what else will need to be changed

Will the shifter work on a non overdrive transmission?
What else will have to changed such as shift cable etc?

You could get parts from a 78-80 that came with a TH350. The center consoles were the same, so you would just need the Detent Bracket from it as well as the Shift Indicator. If the shift cable needs to be changed ( I think it does ) buy a new one for a 78-80 with TH350.

The stock crossmember should work. You could get a new "double hump" crossmember for that dual exhaust you've been thinking about
