JESSE that is a really nice set up you got there, does your shifter have a neutral lock out? i have a Q stick and it does not seem to have a neutral lock out, only reverse.

JESSE, nice setup. I am planning on doing something like that on my Grand Prix. I painted my s*** brown dash to a light slate gray, like yours. I bought a factory console too. I am going with the B&M Quick Silver shifter. I need more interior paint for the rest of the car

One question, how easy is it to view your speedo and tach with your hands on the wheel?

thanks, i really have fun with my car!!! yes it does have neutral lock out, the way the shifter works is all the way forward is park, to move the shifter you have got to pull the lever to move it . the first slot is reverse the second is neutral the third is forth gear and all the way to first gear. once your in first release the lever,,to move to move to second you just push it forward and it stops. in second gear to move to third you have to pull the lever and push,to get to fourth you have to release the lever and push, to move to neutral you have to pull the lever and push.when you get to neutral if you want to go to reverse you have to push the lock out lever does this make sense? my wife bought me this shifter for christmas in 1999 and i've never had any problems with it 😀

dougfather... thanks for the nice comments i really didn't know how the g-body crowd would take to it.. so far it's all been good 😀 i have no problem seeing any of the gauges day or night. i've got to say that i think what a person does to his car is his business and no one elses a lot of guys do stuff to there cars that i dont like but it's not my car,it's there's!! do you think that my car is a street car?

What brand of gauges did you go with and are they pretty much plug in? I see the spedo, tach and probably oil, engine temp and fuel level. what other gauges do you use to monitor? The more I see cars like yours the more I want to do to mine, including exhaust cutouts and flame throwers....had them before on a nova and it was fun!!!!

the gauges are autometer pro-comp ultra lites the four on the right are water temp, oil pressure, trans temp and fuel pressure all four are manual gauges and are a bit of a b*tch to install...the ones behind the wheel are a tack,speed-o fuel and volt meter....only the speedo is cable driven. if i was going to do this agian i would use a electric speedo instead of a cable the other two things are turn signals i moved the head lamp switch to the lower left side of the dash

I will probably not go with that many but those are the exact same gauges I was looking at. Thanks for the tips, it is much appreciated.
