looking for a interior heat and sound barrier insulation for the cutlass . what brand are you using .

I used foil backed bubble wrap from the hardware store ( you use it to cover your hot water heater tank ) between the juting and the floor. I also 3m'd it to my roof when I replaced the headliner. It was enough to notice it was a little quieter and less heat on the passenger floor from the cat convertor

has anyone tried that lizardskin or a similar product? i've got the body of my car completely stripped and was thinking about spraying the inner panels with it (roof, inside firewall, floor, trunk, inner door panels)...

the butyl stuff works well, but its hard to get into tight spots and if you break the foil then you have a mess on your hands.

In my wife's Olds Vert, I coated the entire floor, trunk and behind the door panels with Fatmat. It's like Dynamat, only cheaper. It's easy to install, sticks well and smooths out with the provided roller tool. This is just a sample ad. It can be found cheaper if you shop around. Car stereo installation places seem to have the best prices.

On my custom Cougar, I used a company called Insulshield Technology. I used their firewall blanket, and carpet underlayment throughout the interior. I also used a panel dampener up under the front fenders to shield the paint from rocks flying up off the front tires, creating star cracks in the paint since those cars don't have any real wheel wells. The interior stuff is unbelievably awesome. Unfortunately, I cannot find contact information for them anymore.
