i had them on my yukon. they were ok but werent level so they leaked at first. i got them planed at a machine shop an got some good metal gaskets and it was fine after that.

Never used them but I don't like flowtech after I got a set of problem headers from them. Also one post with the same question will work no need for two with the same question.

I have them now. Its hard to get the bolts torqued down well, but that goes with about any header. What I've done is use 2" spacers on the holes that are accessible for spacers and added long bolts in those holes (instead of the little tiny header bolts). The bolt holes on the flange not accessible for longer bolts will need to use short ones and these are the ones that must be screwed in first of course. Allen heads will make things easier on the shorter ones. Every header bolt I've used so far rusts but the standard hardware store stainless do fine. When it comes time to pull the headers and coat them again (you'll need to with these pieces of junk) removal is a snap this way. I paid around 180$ in headers so not a bad deal, but I've spent another 30$ in heat coat spray cans over the past few years. Can't really complain much they do the job but if you have the money or time save up for better ones

I run the flowteh Afterburner header and am quite pleased with them.No fitment issue and they work well...I have the $180.00 headers now and in the spring I will be getting the ceramic ones here: http://www.jegs.com/i/Flowtech/387/4910 ... tId=744859 I have run the cyclone headers and the blackjack headers and even the glidden series headers over the years...I like them all, but these flowtech's by Holley are real bang for the buck!!

Thanks for tip man.. think ill be ordering those for now and wait till I have extra cash for some hooker headers... those ceramic headers are pretty cheap price.. maybe ill grab those and I have some hooker shorty headers but I don't lik them one bit, it sounds awful with open headers and would sound even better with full length.. ill let yu know what I think about them .

got a set of non-afterburner (ie just regular flowtechs) on my truck - the quality was so terrible, I will never buy another set. the flange to the engine was not machined flat. Had to stack gaskets to get it to seal. The bolt holes were close - but not close enough. I had to get out the die grinder to clearance the bolt holes so I could bolt them in. There was so much casting flash in the collecter that one of the primary tubes was 50% blocked. I'd rather spend another 20-50 bucks and get a set of headers that I dont have to spend 4 hours FIXING before I install them. no more flowtech products for this guy.

Flowtech is the only header that I have ever used and I love them. I have never had any fitment issues until with my new engine that I installed this year. They are the same exact headers that I removed from the Chevy 350 the was in the car and then I bolted them to the new Chevy 350 and they sat right up against the control arm section that is close on the passenger side :? (they still bolted in with no problem, just made a little tiny contact with that arm mount area). I was so confused about how they didn't touch anything before and now they do. That goes to show you that it's not always the manufacturers fault

All I had to do to fix the tube was take a "C" clamp and pinch a breaker bar to the tube area that was touching. Then I wreched the clamp down so the breaker bar would make a small dimple in the tube. Worked like a charm

 Use those shorties or buy something dirt cheap on craigslist before spending 180$ that you'll just throw away or scrap later
