So it appears to be issues with just Moser's 12 bolts, I bought my 9" from them 13 years ago which came with the housing, axles, bearings and seals for $695 so the price was the main reason I bought it.
The Quick Performance rear looks like a nice piece, I welded on my own brace, fill cap and drain plug

Best shot i got. But what does your pinion angle look like. If its in the positive your upper arms arethe problem.

I bent mind. Upper arm hit the ear on a launch. Woops. Had to make more clearence.

What is your pinion angle? It might not be the spring perches the upper ears could be off or you just need new upper control arms.
I set the pinion parallel to the crankshaft to get it close and the springs are way off. Evennthe final adjustment wontbfix the issue. Even if you rotated the rear to compensate, the shock bolts would be offnand vice versa.

Here are a couple pics of my Quick Performance housing under my 83 Cutlass.

How were your shock mounts with that rear? Were they straight?

Ahhhh. If you can show a pic from a different angle that would be cool. Im facinated by this. This isnt the first time ive heard of an issue from moser.

Not sure what you mean by straight. They mount in the stock location and are at the same angle they were from the factory.
Best I remember, they are pretty straight as far as up and down but they do angle out towards the wheel on the bottom side.

Same here. But i will say the end of the shock isnt flush with the mount it doesnt need to be.

Mine is from currie enterprises bought it a few years ago. I think it went in with out a problem.

I have a quick performance one also. No problems with the install. Got everything from them.

Id like to hear from those who have Strange, Currie, and other rear ends. Ive heard that the Currie rears fit well. My main concern is the angle of the bottom shock bolts.
