i used a th700r4 in every monte i had except my last one ! as soon as i bought a car that's the first thing i did was swap out the th200r4 for a th700r4 and they worked great i just used a regular rebuild kit with B&M shift kit but i never had 400 hp on any of mine but had around 300 so they are good .
