Depends on how fast your car is and what you can spin the engine to. What does it run in the 1/8 th? An example - if you expect to run low 12's (1/4 mi) you would have to spin your motor to 7000

I don't want to turn it 7000 because I just got a 150 shot of nos

I just seen on another post your car runs in the 13's, I'm going to say 13.25 - 3600lb w/driver which says your just north 300hp and going through the traps @ 102mph @ 5000 rpm depending on TC slippage. If you spray to 450 HP it will run 11.60's @117 just over 5500 w/ 3.73's. 4.86 gears would put you well over 7000 PPM. This is all w/ 28 in tall tires

That's my 85 that has the 408 that runs 13s I'm building a 78 now that has the Ford 9in in it with the 4.86 I have all the pics of it in the media section
