I finished installing the 2003 Blazer spindles and brakes on my 85 Salon. I also installed Viking double adjustable shocks and adjustable coil overs. Be advised! The Blazer brake calipers WILL NOT clear the SSII 15"x7" wheels with 4.25 back spacing.
I had to revert the my 14" wheels with 3.5 back spacing. I will use 225-70/14 BFG tires.

That looks like a sweet set up. Is that a chart that tells you how much the height changes by the number of turns on the coil overs?

Looking good. What spring rate did you go with?

The springs are 450 lb. There is no chart for the adjustment. We had the adjusting nuts at there lowest position and measured from the floor to the top of the wheel well. We then moved the nuts up until 10 threads where showing below the nuts and measured the height again and determined how much ride height each thread represented.

Thanks, I've been looking at those coil overs since UMI showcased them for their green machine.

im not aware of my specific backspacing or if there were any differences but my SSII's fit. but very close

I was told that my wheels must of come from a Delta ( because of the 4.25 backspacing). I really don't know if there was more than one backspacing used on these wheels or if the profile of the outer rim is the same on all of the 15" SSII wheels. It would be good to have this info though. I through a fit when the 15" wheels would not fit. I even made up some new cuss words, or maybe I was talking in tongues.

Would the wheels not fit because of the way the inside of the wheel is designed? I have 15x4 steel wheels I want to put Blazer brakes on.

The shocks look awesome do they seem like a drag race oriented part or all around type?

Here is a link to the Viking Shocks sold bt UMI: http://www.umiperformance.com/catal...e=product_info&cPath=8_57_326&products_id=712
They have a wide range of adjustment. I drag race and I think these shocks will help my 60' times.
The wheels would not fit over the 02 Blazer calipers because of the 4.25" backspacing. If your wheel are only 4"wide I don't think backing spacing will be a problem. Have you put larger brakes on the front of your car?

Looking good, to bad you're wheels didn't fit. How far off are they from fitting?. Could a spacer fix it?
