I guess the upside of the way it was done is that the 4 door fender wheel openings more closely resemble the rear ones than the "flat on top" 2 door version.

So, now that everybody has pointeed out all the flaws, who's going to build a Regal/Cutlass with a "real" 2 door frt clip? I plan to stick to the 2 wagon projects already going, so it won't be me.

I will do it for my family cruiser....Im thinking 442 paint scheme (not sure which) buckets, console, 15" chrome olds rallys, roof rack eliminated (if equipped) Ill whip it up in photoshop one of these days. I will build this but not real soon.....no cash, time, or space in my shop to do it right now. 🙁

I have a 79 Malibu wagon Im considering doing kind of the same thing to. I just found a 2 door cutlass I can steel for $300. My plan with the BU all along is to 2 door it, but do it right. I wanna use the long doors, and the front clip off the cutlass. I prefer the Monte Carlo SS front clip, but there next to impossible to find around here. I've seen it done with El Camino doors, but I think the cut window looks stupid. It will look kind of like the pic except with out all the extra crap done to it and will have a GLASS window!(ok, so I can't post pix  )

I really like that last pic. Best lookin' one I've seen. Looks like the front windshield was layed back like the two door cars. I like the roadrunner...ish type rear fender flares.

Here's is the article that the 2-dr wagon build was from.

IMO that is just killer.

Can you say an 83 or 84 style Hurst wagon clone? Or 442........sorta like the W30 wagon that was on eBay a while back..............that's money!
