Hi guys,

So I want to change my Front Sway Bar Links & Front Sway Bar Bracket Bushings...1980 Chevy El Camino 305/350

My question is after I change them on both sides , Do I need an alignment? I know its an easy job..

But what do I need to know?

Thanks
Santos

Re: Front G Body Suspension Question???

its really easy to do and you dont even have to jack up the car. jacking it up makes it easier to get under it but not needed. and theres no need for a re-alignment. just a open end wrench, a ratchet and the proper sockets, and yer mits. it should take no more than 20 or 30 minutes.

Kool, I heard from friends that I might need an alignment, But what do they know huh.... I will take your advice...lol

Will it make my front suspension smoother? tighter..I changes my gear box already, becuase it was leaking and that made my drive alittle better, But since im going to be putting those 22'' irocs I want it to ride like a brezze.?? what you think?

Re: Front G Body Suspension Question???

unless any of you end links were broken or had completely wrecked bushings, dont think it will make any huge difference but you might feel some

19.99 sway bar links
18.99 sway bar bushings
5.69 emarel heat orange paint..

about $50.00 total....All i can say is that it feels good and smoother ride...

Lookin sweet!! Congrats! You got her done, saved some loot and learned somethin. But bruh..I'd redo the entire suspension before wheels. You are lookin really clean with the setup you have for now. Just my .02. I'll be riding on stocks until I get off my lazy butt and drop in my front springs, upper/lower control arms with new ball joints and bushings and rear upgrades. You think its smooth now. Replace those parts and you will REALLY feel a difference....

That orange looks clean too..

Going from stock rubber bushings to poly bushings on the sway bar will make a big difference!

Just have to make sure you torque the bolts down once the car is back on the ground.
