Gbodyaddict, I made the spreadsheet for myself, trying to get the GP down to 2900# race weight and then will run single digits.

I figured it may help someone so I posted it on the net.Glad you like it.

I think if you copy it, you may be able to add/subtract your own numbers.

Bigdan, According to VFN, the bolt on cowl hood is 22# so it would be a push based on Blake442 s numbers.

A pin-on is only 15#, but would be a pain for anything but a race only car.

Still 22# is better then 53# stocker!

have you looked at shotgun's spreadsheet? theres other weight saving parts if the fabbed hood is expensive for the time being.

I have alum heads , alum intake ,headers , tubular upper a arms ,

the only weight added are the disc brakes upgrade to 12" but they are so necessary....

those bumper weight savers are a good upgrade also ....
but i ahve an 84 can save only on buper brackets ..

Is it just me or do your fiber bumpers fit better (closer to the body on the sides) than the stockers? That was the problem with my '80 is I couldn't find fiber bumpers that fit nice and close

It took some extra time to line them up but was worth it.

The rears bumpers are mounted real close to stock positions, still using the rubber fillers.

The front also still used the fillers. It is maybe a 1/2 high and tucked maybe an inch. That was more as a function of mounting them but I like the look as a bonus.

They are still just the black gelcoat, someday it might get painted but I doubt it since it is a race car.
