fuel pump and sending unit

hello all i have a few question so first off my car has a 350sbc the sending unit in my tank is the 2 port one from a v6 monte carlo my fuel pump only has 1 port and that is fuel has no return. first of is the sender okay with the v8 and second the other port is a vent correct? should i vent it in to a filter or the charcoal canister

yes you're ok with that sender and you are correct that the vent tube is for the charcoal canister. I you ever end up using one with three tubes and you have no return from the pump you can just block off the tube. I use a vacuum cap with a small zip tie to plug it off
