Fuel stabilizer question.

This may be kind of a dumb question, but does fuel stabilizer have a shelf life? I have some stabilizer here from a year or 2 ago, and I'm wondering if its still as effective as it was when I got it.

Yep, 2 years once it's opened... And it only works in whatever you put it in for 2 years also.

☝️ I agree! I like to use Seafoam myself.

Asked and answered, and my Seafoam never lasts more than its shelf life anyway 😀

shelf life is 2 years after open but even if you use it before 2 years it will only stabilise the gas up to the 2 years of the container being opened.

My dad is owner/operator of a tour boat, and when the Ethanol fuels started causing problems with outboards, a lot of guys on the island started swearing by this stuff called Pri-G. I never finished my bottle, and it has a nasty sludge at the bottom. I guess I let it expire.

I though docks and marinas all have ethanol free fuel......🤔
