So I'm trying to prepare my GP for my first ever car show (never even been to one before) this Saturday.

I finished and install my center console and kick panels today (basically spent all day).

Tried to start it and.... it won't turn over. All the electrical accessories come on including the fuel pump etc, so there is full power.

I haven't tried to jump the starter yet, it's too late now to make that kind of noise (just moved to this neighborhood). Checked all the fuses and everything looks good.

Just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions. :blam:

First thing i would do is check if ther is power comin from the positive cable to the sol. Next check the purple wire for power while the key is in the start position.

Make sure you hooked up all the wires on your Shifter in the console. Theres a neutral safety switch, and if left unplugged the car "thinks" its in gear and wont let you start cuz its unsafe to do so.

If your car worked before and not now and all you did was work on your console start with things near the console.

Online170 thanks for the logical answer. Sometimes you have to be told by someone else to actually see it, d'oh!

Thankfully I didn't have to take out the whole center console risking scratching it up etc... just took off the rubber shifter top plate and boot, and I was able to see the neutral safety switch with one wire pulled out!!! Hooked it back up this morning and she fired right up.

Now the car show is Saturday at 8am. I was gonna wash her yesterday. It's supposed to rain today and tomorrow. So........... when am I supposed to wash the car now?!?!? :blam:

No worries.

I did something very similar when swapping to a manual trans. Ended up hooking up the auto shifter next to the manual shifter and it worked.

Also, be thankful for the rain. Its been crazy out there. Happy cruising! :notworthy:
