you forgot the Ford Crown Vic Police Interceptors with an issue similar to the Pinto (punctured rear tank). the Explorer was simply a tire issue

All of the Panthers including MGMs and Towncars had the gas tank puncture issue. Only CVPIs received any of the factory fixes such as crash shields mounted on the rear axle and kevlar lined trunk inserts which did work. The CVPIs also had a fire supression system as a police exclusive option. Regular Panthers never got any protection for their gas tanks so TS for their buyers which makes P71s the safest version to drive. You can see the 3 crash shields to prevent gas tank punctures which are police package exclusives.

Police Explorers had a carbon monoxide issue caused by rear cabin vents placed too close to the tailpipe exit for extended idling. They are also prone to early water pump failures that typically blows the engine.

The Caprice PPV's LS engines often develop valve train issues and are difficlut to get parts for.

Police package BMWs can catch fire if driven at pursuit speeds.

Police package Dodges have too many issues to list here.

You would figured ford would have learned from the pinto "experience"... and they did it again with the crown vic two decades later. smh
