I was trying to keep it reconizable, i pretty much left the front end where it was, but Ill try moving the front wheel forward some.

i know money is tight, but if you check into it, you can get the basic adobe cs4 through your college for less than 200 bucks.

CS4 is awesome, just got it a couple weeks ago and I love it. I would highly recommend it. It can be had for less $$ than that if you know where to find it

This got me thinking, and I came upon this site offering to teach graphic design for free using free software. I'll post it in case you are interested.

http://www.opengraphicdesign.net/

I may try it out when I am bored so that I can learn a new skill.

GIMP rules. I've used it exclusively for graphics stuff for a while. All the graphics on the site were done with it, and I did the two calendar runs with it. Two thumbs up there... If you know what you're doing its the way to go.

Inkscape is still a bit dodgy and difficult to use, plus it crashed a lot the last time I went to use it, but that's been a while back.

I already have GIMP and started playing with it last night after I wrote this. I can afford free, but not much else right now. I was going to DL Inkscape, but the DL link did not work when I tried it. I will try it again in a few days. The thing I couldn't get to work though was that I was trying to use a side profile picture of my Cutlass, reduce it down to just a line drawing and then redraw the parts I would alter to redesign it. Maybe I was hoping for too much with the program. I also tried Google Sketchup 7 (another freeware app I have DL'd to my laptop), but found it more confusing than the other approaches.

Yeah, but if I had $200 lying around for computer stuff, I would just buy a netbook. (It would be a hell of a lot easier to carry than the 17 in desktop replacement that I have now.) I like playing with GNU license stuff because it's free and there are some very good tools you can get for only the time it takes to download. In fact, my next computer (a netbook) will not run Windows at all as I will be trying some form of Linux (Ubuntu preferably) to see if I like it.

you guys need to get on the ball. I cant wait to see these concepts. 🙂 O yea keep in mind when building it that it has to be based of a chassis that is readily available. The current gbody would be good but i think we could find a similar chassis with better suspension. Plus who know how long the gbody will be around as far as just being able to go buy one for cheap and restore it.

Yeah, I always thought about buying an 06 GTO and 'converting' it to an Oldsmobile. I could only imagine how pissed Pontiac lovers would get over something like that

I loved that Camaro/Grand National rendering when that came out a few years ago!

damned you lol, i thought of the gto platform today and gotall excited and was going to tell you guys, but you beat me to it!

Aerocoupe revival via Zeta platform. made this about a year and a half ago, I cant get my photoshop to work anymore so I havent been able to revise it or mess with the highlight/shadowing
