I am trying to identify the front frame clip under my newly acquired 53 5-window chevy PU.
Here

are some pics that might help. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Richard

Don't know if this helps, but here is a 2nd gen Camaro subframe drawing. The little tongue on the front of the crossmember doesn't look like G--body to me.

Odds are whatever they took the clip off of they kept the steering box from it too.

Try running the part numbers off some steering parts to get in the right direction.

Would the spindle have casting/part numbers on the casting that might help with ID?
