hi guys im new here, a while ago i got a 1984 regal limited as a project car
resto mod is what im going after i guess, i have been meaning to register for some time now but
today something is killing me so bad i dont even know what its called! my minds at a blank but hopefully someone can view the picture and tell me what im pointing at and where the clip thing needs to connect!!!!!! its killing me!!!! :itchy: :puke:

i cant seem to remember it being disconected. i need help! im pulling my hair out!!!

oh and other wise i also have a 2006 dodge magnum SXT with mild mods as my daily driver,

thanks guys! i hope to learn alot from you all!!!

pic of my car to come soon too.

Looks like that needs to be attached to the throttle linkage someway. That actually controls(holds the throttle)the cruise control. If your cruise doesnt work, I wouldnt worry about it, but if it does, it should attach to the throttle linkage like you had it in one of your pictures. Hope that helps sir, and welcome to the board.

Welcome!

Eddie is correct, that is for the cruise control.
It is held in place with the same style retainer that is used to connect the throttle cable to the carburetor.
Hit up your local junkyard and swipe another clip if you can find one that's still intact.

THANK YOU!!!!! i coudlnt get it in my head for some reason, see when its on the throttle linkage it just falls off,
and my cruise control doesnt work so i guess it wont be needed like you said. thanks again this was like torture to me,
i went outside to clean up the valve covers so i can see exactly where the leak was coming from (either the covers or their gasket) and all of a sudden i see this.

thanks again!

Welcome, X2 on seeing another Cali person in here

thnaks man!

as with all buick lovers the GNX was my dream car, but i kind of dropped that plana while ago so i thought id do atleast a GN replica, BUT I GIVE COMPLETE DETAILS NOW, IM NOT JUST GOING TO PAINT THE CAR BLACK AND THROW SOME GRAND NATIONAL BADGES ON IT.-

i plan on a 350 chevy sitting in it (or if i get a good deal on a GN engine id put that in. cars going to be black w/ black rims (regular size 15-16 in rims) and dark tint.

currently i have the interior stripped carpet removed, all seats removed (theyre in great condition though) just left driver seat in, going to replace it with maybe singe Recaro w/ custom mounting bracket or something along those lines, run a main hoop in the car and do a custom weld for the cage, going to have a dash bar to attach RPM tach onto, and the tri gauges will take place of where the radio used to be (car didnt come w/radio when i bought it.)

i hope to learn alot from you guys w/ different type gbody cars too!

thanks!
