Does anyone know if gateway (and other similar $$$ dealers) own any of their inventory, or are they all consignment? I would think if it were theirs, they would want to turn it faster.

That's exactly what my silver car looked like before the conversion.

EDIT: Well, no it didn't. I went to their site. It seems that it isn't a 1988. Interior looks like 1984-1986.

And it's been repainted. SPID sticker is missing.

Who's eating the storage cost of these vehicles? If I was getting charged I'd want it to sell asap and if I was the dealer I need this out soon so I can get other autos in

My 88 had the little ribbed pattern with just the normal pull strap and this maroon one I've been eyeing has it too, that looks like 84 85

When I said, "well, whattaya know", I meant that it's actually a 1988 VIN. Since it was repainted and has had a crate Chevy swap and the underside looks restored, it may have all kinds of parts from different years on it...

So many things that car that added value to it but yet alot more of the details that kills the value. Not worth $32K. Hate to figure out what it'll cost to clean up & fix up that one. BTW, who welds a cable retainer to the exhaust?
