Yesterday I was driving my car and it started to flood. I come to a stop and shut the car down to try and figure out the issue. I looked over into the carb and realized that the front to barrells were full of gas. I got it back to the house and started to check things to figure out what was going on. I checked the float level thinking it could be to high but it was normal and my fuel pressure is only 6 psi. My gauge could be wrong off my regulator. The carb. is a Holley 750 hp. Anyone have any ideas what I could check. I'm still new so any advice would be appreciated.

did you check the bowl level with the engine running? If you checked it while running then I'd suspect the power valve is blown or not installed properly

Yes I checked the float level with the motor running and I could just see the fuel and the bottom of the sight hole.

Could be.

I used to have a Holley 650 DP bought new, and it did this regularly. I have a 5/8 wrench and flat head with me in the car. Pull over, remove needle and seat, blow it out reinstall and worked great.

I cant comment on float level, but it was probably high. The debris that came out was usually the size of a finely ground black pepper flake. Doesnt take much.

he said he checked the fuel lever when the engine was running and it was at the proper level so it can't be a problem with the float or needle. I don't know why he has not pulled the front fuel bowl off to check the power valve

Havent had a whole lot of time today to mess with her but I check the power valve tomorrow morning.
