Gas tank question

Well my question to you guys is what is the liquid that they pour into the gas tank to recoat the inside of the gas tank.Ive seen it in a show i watched a long while back but i cant remember what it is or where can i purchase it hopefully i can buy it a auto parts store.

FWIW, I think new tanks for a g-body are inexpensive enough to not use this, about 130 bucks with filler neck.

I have never personally used a gas tank "restore" coating, so I don't want this to come off wrong, but I have seen plenty of tanks where this stuff peeled off over time, including my neighbor's motorcycle tank we are cleaning up now. It may have been bad prep, race fuel, who knows, but my 2 cents, if you can get a new tank, get one.

On the fuel tank subject. Im planning an efi swap, Is there a year make model gbody that comes with an in tank pump?
I think ive heard monte Carlo Ss and Grrand national but not all years. Thanks in advance

search rock auto.com, they have several options. you'll want one from a car that came with fuel inj. 85-88 m/c with 4.3l v6. spectra also makes one that is complete with fuel pump, hanger and sending unit. 84-88 buick regals with fuel inj. also work. note, verify filler neck will fit your body style as that changed throughout the various years and body changes.

Awsome Thanks very much. Thats spectre route is probably the I'll go. Although I may swap out the fuel pump just for safe measures.
