Tank looks solid from what I can see. But do yourself a favor while its out and check the inside and flush it out if need be, and don't forget a new fuel strainer while you in there and use good quality new fuel line hose and new clamps when it goes back in.

looks like you're off to a good start,be safe with that wire wheel.what color are you gonna paint it when you're done?

Yes sir I was surprised to be honest with you since I have had the car 3yrs now and am finally getting my lazy bottom up and getting at it. Thanks for your time to check it out.

Didn't really think about that thanks for the advice I appreciate it and I'll do just that do you have any suggestions on a good strainer to go with?

nice, por is tough as nails,as long as you use it correctly.you gotta stick to their prepping/cleaning system for it to stick.if you read the instructions that comes with it you'll be fine.
as far as replacing the strainer goes any stock replacement one will do the trick.the one you've got now has quite a few years/miles on it so an new one's cheap insurance.

I agree with you on that ya I have all the prep stuff for it I would like to do the undercarriage without taken the body off I have more questions about but the tank is first and then I'll start on it and have some questions about it but that's a later date.
