Gas tank redoing

I did a frame off and under carriage of my kids Cutlass...we just brushed it and used the POR15.Unless its going to be a show car I wouldn't waste the time with the wheel. After all its Paint Over Rust 15.JMO.
I can't remove my body from the frame cause of where I live they would definitely have a COW.!! So I was just going to do the parts I can get to I know that doing the whole frame is best.!! You think it be alright to do it the way I am intending to do so.?

My opinion, for sake of ease I usually leave the in tank strainer out. I install a filter right off the tank. That way if I ever have a problem, the question of is the tank sock clogged is never an issue. I replace the exposed filter and go.

I've done several like you plan. Follow the advice above fixing everything while it is out. The POR-15 is tops. I always use the silver and then coat it well with regular rattle can spray undercoating. That way if you scratch it later you can just respray to touch it up.

Yes that's my thoughts exactly.!!! Lol I have planned to wire wheel it but my only problem is that I can't take the body off tho. Any suggestions you may have be appreciated

I bought a new one for 137.99 and sending unit/pickup for 57.99 at AutoZ... Its been a few years so price is probably higher. Perfect fit came with the locking rim/gasket. Straps are the orginal ones
