I want to do a nice, clean gauge cluster in my '88 Cutlass I'm just not sure what I want to do yet. I have a pretty big AutoMeter tach with memory so I would like to incorporate that somewhere. Just need some ideas!

Do a search on here in the interior section, this topic has been brought up alot. I recently did mine on a GP dash so I cant really help you with a cutlass.

i never built a custom gauge for mine but i did switch up the lights and always paint my gauge fascia a different color. 84 has white and the 87's is chrome which kinda spruces it up a bit and adds a bit of uniqueness (if thats even a word, if not i just made it up) i also almost always paint all the wood-grain bezels to match too. then no one has one like yours 🙂

Hmm...those are good ideas too...

put some rallye gauges in it...they have actual volt, temp, oil prs, tach..not a bad swap, you'll just need the sending units..get from any 78-88 cutlass w/ the full gauges(rallye gauges)

as long as you CLEAN!!! the bezels first and give them a light scuffing, the paint will cover nice. also keep your eyes open for cool decals for the upper center bezel. i put a light in the center of mine but i think ill try and find a cool face or skull sticker and pop in another light for some eyes or something.
