Yes I have the the knob twisted to the off position and the noise still is on . But when i turn the headlight on I hear both of the noises for the headlights and the other noiseHave you turned your headlight switch knob to it's detent that keeps the interior lights on? Try an opposite turn.
(This is assuming you have a dimmer built in the headlight switch)
I had sprayed white lithium grease on it and started pushing itHow about the door switch in the hinge area(lower A pillar)...maybe it's telling you the door is constantly open because the switch is not sending a 'closed' signal.. With each door open in turn push the plunger in each A pillar.
If I remember right it is green and sorry I meant unplug itWhat color is the box?and What do u mean by plug it ?
1982Unless if I'm mistaken, the 'buzzer' should chime if the headlights/park lights are on and the key is not in the ignition or if the the keys are in the ignition and the door is open. I'm not sure about the headlight warning since neither work on my car. If the dome/courtesy lights aren't working correctly, then I think that's a clue as to why the buzzer is chiming. What year is your Monte?
