I saw this on CL and I don't recall ever seeing one of these and I kind of like the look.
I am really not used to seeing other than GM cars with t-tops.

CMX trim is the one you want. Came with a factory 360 engine and the 727 transmission, plus some nice trim.

I always thought that they looked pretty neat also. There were 2 white ones on the block I grew up in.

When I was in high school, my grampa had a mint one in Butternut yellow. He wanted me to buy it from him. At the time it was too grampal looking to me, now I wish I would have bought it. My first car was a Dodge Diplomat. I never drove it on the highway. I pulled the engine out of the car so I could rebuild it, but it was in tuff shape. I ended up selling the engine, and used the money to buy my 79 Monte. Witch I still have.

I remember them, one of the magazines did a "Magnum Mirada" article or series of articles on one back in the day.

Only seen a couple in the real world, and that was a long time ago

The way i read it was the 360 was available in the CMX for 1980 only. Of the 5384 CMX cars, only 76 actually got the 360....at least according to allpar.com

If that's true (not sure I believe all par or not??) Then I was pretty lucky.

the one of those I saw in person was at a salvage yard in the early 2000s. Guy who owned part of it had one in an old barn/shed turned workshop. He'd been hammering, grinding, drilling, pulling, and welding away straightening out the rear quarter on a dark blue 360 cmx. Hung out there for a bit talking about it and cars in general before heading on my way.

Definitely and interesting car

Well, those 76 had to somewhere, and if a guy was gonna save one that'd be the one to save.
