What power does the stock 5.3 make should be a fun car? Sounds awesome too haha

270-295 hp, 315-330 lb-ft for the Gen IIIs. Gen IVs made 320 hp, 340 lb-ft. I actually think the Gen IIIs feel peppier seat-of-the-pants. I think they have a little more low-end torque. Could be that the GMT900 trucks/SUVs were heavier than the GMT800s, too.

Also, if you have any plans for hot-rodding or forced induction, Gen IIIs are better because they're iron block.

Whats the re sale value on these ? Just curious

It's not a GN or a H/O so there is no "set value", so condition, mods, color matter.

I could see a nicely done, rust free LS conversion Malibu bringing over $10K USD, but a cobbled together rust bucket worth 1/2 that much and be worth more parted out..

Cool its nice shape for year has abit of rust but not serious and interors mint.

Id say body probably a 6 or 7 out of ten

The Jegs 200582 cam is a really good budget cam that shows good gains in NA form. You'll need to upgrade springs with it however and the PAC 1218s work great for that.
The cam sounds great too.
Itll also need to be tuned as well after that swap

Like UNGN said, apart from GN/GNXs, valuations are highly subjective and are all over the map. Figure low five-figures ($10-15k) for a super-clean model, and from $500-3,000 for kind of a roached-out beater. Most clean runners are probably in the $3,500-8,000 range.
