GBodyForum Gear Request Thread

OK, so.... I believe I have set up the store to #1) take credit cards in addition to Paypal-only... and #2) take pre-orders for stuff. So here's what I want to do.

TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT in terms of stickers, t-shirts, designs on them, etc. I'm serious. This way I can come up with some designs, set them on pre-order, and when they hit a certain threshold, actually get the things made and shipped.

I know there was a lot of flak with the last batch of shirts because there wasn't any El Camino, Malibu or Wagons on them, or 78-80 stuff... well here we go. Sound off. I figure there needs to be one combined Malibu/Wagon/El Camino shirt. A multi-year Monte one. Same for Cutlass and Grand Prix. Then there's the whole color/long sleeve/short sleeve/no sleeve argument. IIRC teespring messed up on one batch of the black ones (used the wrong screen) which was uncool.

Keep in mind that I can't actually use GM logos and technically I can't even use the names (I think) without getting licenses from the General, and that's a road I'm not ready to go down. Lately the internet's been flooded with the teespring-types completely ignoring trademarks and copyright and I'd rather not be the one they start with.

I also want to expand the sticker choices. I'm considering a bumper sticker, maybe some round ones, big blue "G" logo, maybe some die-cut car ones, and putting together a "pack" for a single price...

What else?

Here's your chance. Make your requests. If people want them (and actually pony up $$ with pre-orders) I'll make them.

Basic logo stuff is definitely happening. The windshield thing is a good idea, not sure if that should be just a larger version of the existing sticker or if it needs to be a different material or what....

I would love a windshield banner as well. Also Ive been thinking about this a lot lately. What about something to give out to prospsecitve members? Sometimes Ill see another G body parked somewhere or meet the owner and i think well damn if only i had a sticker or card or something that says "hey, this is what we are all about, come check us out!"

Ah, another one of those "I need to do that someday" things 😀 is come up with a business card or flyer that you could just download and print out. Or even a "pack" of smaller stickers or cards etc... great idea.

I'am in ! ball cap ? liken the hoodie idea and as a none pay pal person ...i get too much spam for it and i did not have an account.but i have a credit card.
just a t-shirt with the forum logo across the back of it ? of course would love a Cutlass and a Regal spec one's.

I get more comments at shows just on my Harvey's T-shirt than I can count. Would no problem wear the forum t shirt here in the southern Ontario region !!

I second the ball cap idea. I never go anywhere without a cap. I also like the hoodie idea. If you get to do Monte Carlo shirts, please make a non-SS version for guys like me who prefer the regular front end.
Overall though, I love the ideas for shirts, caps and stickers.

For the guys who want something more subtle... a sticker maybe 5-6 inches in length for the quarter glass?

And an idea for a T-Shirt... logo at the top of the front and back of the shirt(full size), with the outlines of the headlight and grill assemblies of each G-Body...Cutlass, Monte, GP, Regal/GN, Malibu... then on the back, the tail-lights of the same in the same order? Something simple and easy for screen printers.

I'd love a black or blue ball cap or shirt. The white tenth anniversary shirts are cool but I'm hard on white and would prefer a dark color. Also, the Hanes Beefy-T is a much better shirt than the Tultex. Going forward I would only use the good Hanes shirt. Of course I'd like a shirt with only the 82+ GP but a shirt with both generations of GP's would be cool too.
