This month should be interesting, BUMP!!

I dont know if I can actually enter. The car is apart but semi drivable.

I agree with 80el This is going to be a good month. Alot of member have alot of nice projects going on. I know who will win if they enter.

Might as well...

1978 el camino I picked up about a year ago. I redid the engine and trans, did an air suspension on it, currently doing the interior, welded in new floor pans and some body panel pieces, shaved the doors and locks and side markers, shaved the tailgate, sectioned bumpers and put a plate tub in the rear, retrofit the 84 front on it, painted it and a bunch of other stuff.

I have built this car 100% myself in my garage at home. I have made alot of parts for it. It'll be driving this upcoming spring.

It's not for everybody, it's just for me. 😀

Clean project, keep up the good work!

Heres my franken project lol..

Well back when I was building my 1982 monte I needed a parts car so I found this 1981 Monte Carlo in town that a guy needed gone... His wife wanted to put a flower garden where it was supposedly parked for 13 years. Ended up buying the 81 3.8 v6 bench seat, AC DELETE for $100 and only used the header panel lol. I couldent part with it after so I decided to start a street strip car project. The project is the second g-body frame off I have done. Floors were rotten so both sides were replaced with new ones and at the same time bucket seat and center console mounts were welded in 8) the frame was stipped and sand blasted, rear frame rails were replaced and the frame was shot in epoxy primer and painted black. All new energy suspension bushings were installed and an f41 suspension package was also added up front with new brakes/spings. Out back the lower control arms were boxed and I plan on getting adjustable uppers. The rear end is a Ford 9" with 31 spline axles and 4.11 gears. Also added a hellwig adjustable sway bar. The project took a different turn when I picked up an all original 87 monte carlo ss for $600 that had been sitting in a field for who knows how long. The SS is also an AC delete car but was very rotten. So I brought the SS home and removed all the ss parts (nose, tail, spoiler and interior) and will be putting them on the 81. I want to salvage as much of the SS as I can and put it on the 81. A 6 point roll cage was installed in which was modified from the original competition engineering kit to clear the entire SS interior including the rear seat. A swing out door bar kit was installed on the drivers side. The body work was all done by me and my uncle. Hours were spent block sanding everything. Future plans for the project will be getting the paint finished GM storm gray metallic. The trans will be the original 200-4r from the ss but built up to handle the power. I plan on running an LQ9 (6.0L ls engine) converted to carb and upgrading the cam. Its been coming along. All the work has been completed by myself, my dad and uncle. This is my second project. Im only 23 by the way lol.

Here are some pics

Here is my 1987 Cutlass Supreme Project I am currently working on by myself in my garage. Plans are 383 stroker, Going to keep A/c 700r4 trans, 12 blot rear end (3.73 posi), Aluminum radiator, electric fans, magnaflow exhaust, 15" rims all around, 2" cowl hood. I have already completed interior before I joined the site and wanted to keep it original as possible. Only going to add some guages and B&M shifter. I am going to keep original paint and only touch up a few spots. Thanks for looking!
