Back in 1993 while a jr in high school, my first car was a 79 Monte Carlo. My parents made me sell it because it was due for alot of work and so it was sold. I always wanted another one. I am in the auto finance business and have a lot of dealers that I deal with on a daily basis. I stopped in one that was local to my house and there was a 1980 Monte Carlo sitting there on the lot.......I was shocked !!! I had to have it !!!! 2 days later it came home.

Stock 4.4L, TH350 Trans, 66k orig miles, no rot, pretty good condition !!!

4 hours of powerwashing and scrubing to get her clean !!

The fenders are done in a semi gloss black Lacquer and the frame is done in a industrial black that I got from a friend

Here is the new powerplant, 355ci, 9:1cr, 492 hump heads with screw in studs and guide plates, powder coated performer intake, hei 65k coil dist, Comp Cams 268HE cam with 1.52 roller tip rockers.

I stripped all the old brackets off the motor down to the metal, primed and painted them. Back on the new motor, the AC will work on this car !!!!! Keep cool and go fast !!!!

I have a redone 200r4 trans and am building a 3.73 rear for the car. This is all being done in my 2 car garage at my house !!! Not bad for a banker !!!!!
