What's wrong with the stock sized 16" rims? At least you can still get tires for them as opposed to 15" rims, which are getting harder to obtain everyday.

The facts of G-Body life...Using Tire Rack for an example, a 26.1" tire on a 16x8 rim points you to five choices:

I agree that the 15" rim options are not much better. Yes, I could go down to F-body 245/50/16 with some speedometer error. Tire Rack offers up to 8 choices in that size. There are 7 choices if I go up to a 255/45-17.
