Reason why it asent dong it with the super six is it wouldn't get to that speed. :lol:

There seems to be more to your story. Engine swap and fire? What's the history? Did this start immediately after other work was done or just happen out of the blue?
 
It was worth asking about. You'd be surprised how many people have thought they had transmission problems that turned out to be a loud fan. If you heat up, like when pulling a long hill, and your fan clutch engages it can sound like a downshift or just really high RPMs. That's why I asked if it had been verified with a tach. The popped out freeze plug was another clue that steered me in that direction.
