i have an 84 cutlass with 7.5 rear end with stock 2.41 gears but i have a 350 chevy motor with th350 trans and i want some more take off power , the car is super slow to take off even if you punch it to the floor. so would these gears be good and fit with no modification/spacers

an d if not whats my best bet to use??? not looking to take it to the track but would like the car to have alot more take off power.

yes those would work for better take offs. if thats not enough i have some 3.73s for sale.

Just keep in mind you'll need to order 2-series carrier gears that have either a spacer or ar thicker I believe.
3.42s, 3.23 or even 3.08 would probably be better for a TH350, I know the 3.73 was a little much for my Olds 350. The fuel economy sucked and operating at higher RPMs on the highway killed the motor adventually but Chevys generally wind higher...

so with the gears in the ebay add would i still have to add spacers or can i just put them right in and thats it???

you have a 2 series carrier with the 2.41 gears you have...you can go as low as 3.08 with a 2 series and you'll need a 3 series if you want to go any lower

Those look like "thin" gears. As already mentioned, you would need a "3 series" carrier to use them. They are a good deal at $55.00 plus 20 to ship them, but they won't help you. A set of 3.73 "thick" gears on your carrier will wake things up. Richmond (among others) makes them.

Throw 3.90's or 4.10's in that b*tch and wake it up !!!! 8)
